Host365’s Managed Server solution includes the following key elements:

Hardware Administration
Host365 builds the Managed Server to your specification, using industry leading hardware and runs it in staging mode for several days prior to going live.

Software Administration
Host365 manages the installation and ongoing maintenance of the Operating System including the application of all up to date service packs or critical patches, allowing you to focus on the application development. In addition, if required we will install the same award winning Control Panel software found on our Shared Servers to give you complete control of your resources.

Network Administration
Host365 manages the ongoing provisioning and maintenance of our high speed and resilient Telehouse based network, routers, switches and all other core networking elements.

Application and Web Site Migration
In most cases, Host365 will manage the entire migration of existing Shared Server applications and web sites to the newly provisioned Managed Server and ensure data is up to date before going live.

RAID
All Host365 Managed Servers use RAID technology by default since in our experience the use of RAID provides far higher resilience and continuity in the case of single disk failure. Usually, downtime at point of failure is zero when using RAID which means replacement of a failed disk can be at a time convenient to you rather than mid way through high trading or usage periods. In addition, this avoids the many hours it can take to restore a web or application server from tape or network backups.

Remote Reboot
All managed servers are attached to our APC remote power management units which means that you have access to power cycle your equipment at will without having to contact us.
