Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

 

The following policy is intended as a guideline to Host365 Ltd’s position on the acceptable use of service provided by us and is not intended to be exhaustive.

 

We reserve the right at all times to protect our reputation and goodwill. In using Host365’s services, the customer agrees:

 

  • to not use the service or authorise, encourage or permit any other party to use the service in violation of any law or regulation
  • to not send or receive any material unlawful, threatening, abusive, harmful, malicious, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane or otherwise objectionable in any way
  • to not send or receive any material containing a virus or other hostile computer program
  • to not do anything which is contrary to the acceptable use policies of any connected networks or internet standards
  • to not post, link to or transmit any material that shall constitute or encourage a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or that violates or infringes any trade mark, copyright, other intellectual property rights or similar rights of any person, firm or company under the laws of any jurisdiction
  • to not hack into or disrupt any aspect of the service nor use their account for the purpose of obtaining unauthorised access to any computer or service nor attempt to circumvent any of the security measures implemented by Host365 Ltd or any of its suppliers, partners or related companies
  • to not cause annoyance to subscribers of Host365’s service or other service providers
  • to not use any domain name or mailbox name which infringes upon the intellectual, property or trade mark rights of any other person, company or organisation
  • to not send any unsolicited advertising or other promotional material by electronic mail or by any other means nor allow any other third party do so so nor post articles of a commercial nature to newsgroups which are inappropriate to the subject of the article to ensure that his or her equipment and specifically mail server/s cannot be used to relay mail for a third party
  • to not continue sending email to companies, organisations or individuals who have requested that you do not do so
  • to not send email with headers modified in such a way as to disguise the true source of such mail or to disrupt any Host365 service or others services
  • to maintain the confidentiality of their username and password assigned to them by Host365 and to be fully responsible for all activities which occur through their use and further to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use to which you become aware.
